Enjoy a Spooktacular Trick-or-Treat Walk in Downtown Perry, IA!
The Perry Chamber of Commerce coordinates this fun activity for the community on the last Friday of October... with more than a thousand kiddos enjoy a safe trick-or-treating experience in downtown Perry. Many thanks to dozens of Perry businesses and organizations that set up on the sidewalk in front of their storefronts and others that pop-up for the evening to hand out treats!
The Perry City Council has designated Friday, October 25th, 2024, as “Trick or Treat Night” or “Beggars’ Night” to coincide with the Chamber's Spooktacular and the Hospital's Safe & Healthy Halloween events.
Friday, October 25th, 2024
- 4-6pm Spooktacular Downtown Trick-or-Treat Walk
- 5-6:30pm Safe & Healthy Trick-or-Treat at Dallas County Hospital
- 6-8pm Citywide Residential Beggars Night Trick-or-Treat
Spooktacular (4-6pm) Details:
• Streets closed to vehicles during the event: Willis Avenue (from 1st to 3rd) and 2nd Street (from Otley to Pattee).
• Parking is available at city lots (Caboose Park & near the Post Office) as well as side streets. Enter at intersections and stay to the right to follow the designated one-way route through the downtown area.
• Businesses and Organizations - not just those that are located downtown - are encouraged to participate. Register to participate or contact the Perry Chamber for more information. A map with assigned spots will be promoted prior to the event.
Citywide Trick-or-Treat (6-8pm) details:
• Participating households should turn porch lights on.
