Forest Park Museum Intern
Forest Park Museum in Perry, Iowa is seeking a paid museum intern for June, July, and August of 2026. This position will assist the museum curator with exhibit creation and maintenance, collections care, visitor services, group and public programs, basic cleaning and maintenance, reptile, fish, and Rose Garden care, creation of exhibit and educational guides and writing press releases. Other duties may involve assisting at an earth science education center, military museum, and two depots used as welcome centers on the Raccoon River Valley Trail. This position is designed to give interns valuable hands on experience that can lead to careers in the museum and cultural resource fields.
Work schedule will include 40 hours per week, and will include weekend hours as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Must be 18 years old
- Valid Iowa Driver's License
- Background checks are required
